ISRO Recruitment 2019 is being carried out by the Indian Space Research Institute, and as per a corrigendum added on the ISRO official website, there is now a fresh opening available. The website also states that eligible candidates can apply for the ISRO job online from
11 February 2019 to 25 February 2019. The corrigendum has been added to the ISRO job opening notification that was issued last year on 28 July 2018. ISRO also makes it very clear that candidates who had applied last year ‘need not’ apply again.

As per the ISRO Recruitment 2019 corrigendum notice, candidates who possess a Master of Design (Product Design) (2 years’ programme – preferably qualified through CEED/GATE) in 1st Class with an aggregate minimum of 60% or CGPA/CPI grading of 6.5 on a scale of 10 points or equivalent or ME/MTech in Mechanical Engineering (Design Engineering) in 1st Class with an aggregate minimum of 60% or CGPA/CPI grading of 6.5 on a scale of 10 points or equivalent can apply,
says the advertisement. The selected candidate will eligible for a salary in the range of Rs 56,100 to 1,77,500, as per the website, which equates to level 10 in the pay matrix.

Knowledge Required for the Current ISRO Recruitment 2019


The candidate is required to be proficient in product design with CAE tools, Mechanism, Sketching, Software Sculpting, Ideation and Prototyping for Master of Design, and as far as ME/MTech in Mechanical Engineering is concerned, the candidate must be proficient in CAD, Applied Dynamics, mechanisms and optimization for ME/MTech in Design Engineering.


Apart from this the candidate is also required to have a pre-eligibility qualification of BE/BTech in Mechanical Engineering in 1st Class with an aggregate minimum of 65% (average of all semesters) or CGPA/CPI grading of 6.84 on a scale of 10 points from recognized Institution/Universities, says the website. The post is unreserved and the candidate will also have to be less than 35 years of age.

The above mentioned post is available in Space Applications Centre (SAC) Ahmedabad, which is one of the leading Centres of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Department of Space (DOS). SAC focuses on the design and development of space borne instruments for terrestrial and
planetary missions of ISRO, and operationalisation of space technology for various applications related to national development. The applications cover broadcast, navigation, communication, oceanography, environment monitoring, disaster monitoring, meteorology natural resources survey and planetary science studies. SAC develops transponders for the INSAT, GSAT and IRNSS series of Communication and Navigation satellites, says the website.

How to Apply for ISRO Recruitment 2019 Online?


Interested candidates who pass the eligibility criteria can start applying for the post from 11 February 2019 to 25 February 2019. Candidates who have already applied as stated on the Advertisement
issued on 28 July 2018 between 30 July 2018 and 20 July 2018 need not apply again, says the notification. The site will remain open from 9 am of 11 February 2019 to 5:30 pm IST of 25 February2019 to register the applications online and cut‐off date for acquiring educational qualification, age, etc. shall remain the same as mentioned in the notification issued last year. The interested and eligible candidates can go to the official SAC website to apply for the ISRO job online.
Candidates are also required to take two print outs of the application summary after registration. One print out is to be submitted with latest passport size photograph and documents supporting the data furnished in application on the date of personal interview, if the candidate happens to be called for it.


Candidates are required to furnish their E-mail ID correctly and compulsorily while submitting the online application as intimation to eligible candidates for personal Interview will be sent through E-mail only, says the notification.
